I was born in Datag Larena in 1974.I left the Philippines with my mother, Dorothy Larot, in 1982 to reside in Melbourne Australia. I have only been back to Larena twice since leaving in '82. The first time when I was about 12yrs old and everything seemed quite different. The second time I went with my husband in '95 and once again things had changed. My husband instantly fell in love with the culture and the surounding beauty of the island. He could not believe that you could actually ride around the whole island on a motorbike in just two hours. Since holidaying there in '95 we have been telling all of our friends about Siquijor and they too are excited about going there to see it. Thanks for this web site. The photos are a great idea, it gives everyone a wonderful insight into what we keep telling them....that Siquijor is a beautiful island.

Hi I am Jon Adams Inskeep. My mom is Chuchay Yorong Cuaresma Inskeep and my dad is Jon Larimer Inskeep. My mom is from Black Soil Larena, Siquijor Philippines. Her dad's name is Filmore Cuaresma and her mom's name is Pacita Cuaresma. She has brothers and sisters like Eleazar, Lucil (Celing), Ike, Ernie (Boying), Lou (Bebelou), Joanne (Gigi), Goodwin (Beboy) and Daryl (Beberyl). What a big family with husbands and wives and also kids. Wow! it is nice to have a Siquijor website.
