Hello, I check into your website quite often, but get a bit disappointed as there is usually no new news or letters on the site. I think that you have a wonderful site, and am happy that it is on the web, but sure wish that more people of Siquijor would write in from time to time, and let us, that have gone to other countries know what is happening back there. It would be nice if some "regular contributors", whether living on Siquijor or other places would write an article ever so often informing others of what is happening back there. I love the island of Siquijor, and have many wonderful friends there. To me, it is so interesting just to hear of familiar names and places from back there now that I have been away for over a year. If someone reads this, I would really like to see some responses the next time that I check in to Siquijor Online, probably the best website on the web from our little island. Thank you, and God bless all the nice folks from Siquijor.

It's a relief to have finally found a place to call my home even if I am far away from it. Whenever I click on the site fond memories overwhelm me. I feel like going back there and re-live once again my lost days of innocence. Congratulations for taking advantage of the internet to bring Siquijudnons back to the small mystical island -- SIQUIJOR-- that which they have fondly called home.

DAGHANG SALAMAT sa website for siquijor! i very much appreciate the superb job! i don't care much if the news or events aren't that updated coz all i care is that i am able to see our beautiful island on the web, much that i miss being there terribly!

i also would like to thank specifically to Mr. James Uy for the pix of the Siquijor Provincial Hospital where i used to work. Hmmm... but the laboratory was mislabelled (as info desk)! pero salamat gyud! i have now an easier way of telling my friends about my hometown, which i'm soooo proud of!

GOD BLESS SIQUIJOR!

Dr. Mayen M. Ambalong

The website is pretty cool in design perspective but only the news and events information is not updated and localized. Sometimes, being away from home we always wanted to know even a little things of whats going on locally without spending on LD. It's kind of a link to anywhere in the world as we all know Siquijodnon where everywhere. Hope i can help.

I just recently found your fine website, and click into it almost every time I use the computer. I lived in Lazi for ten years, along with my family and the 3 Filipino children that we adopted there. The 3 kids, my wife and I are now living in Vancouver, Washington, USA. My heart is always in the Philippines, and I am so happy to be able to read of our small island of Siquijor, and recognize the names and places mentioned there. We have been back in the states for ten months now, and it sort of feels like a foreign country here after living on Siquijor for so long. I have so many nice remembrances of Siquijor, and will visit there every chance I get. There are so many good friends there, and the beauty of the island still lingers in my mind. Siquijor will always be a part of my life no matter how long I am away from there.

I have been reading on your website, about the differances of opinion of the things done by the officials and differant ones there. It makes me sad to read these things, but differances is just a part of living, whether it be in Siquijor or any other part of the world. The main thing is that we all do what is BEST FOR ALL, and not for the few that hold a particular view or belief. I hope and pray that this view will prevail in the leaders as well as the followers of Siquijor. Siquijor can be a great island, should jealosy, greed, dishonesty and like things be put out of each person, and that we all look to do the best for others. That is what is lacking in so many cases. I pray that somehow God will be allowed to do this, and have His way in the lives of ALL concerned on Siquijor island. I love the people living there, and wish the best to all of you that may read this commentary. I would be happy to hear from any of you that may remember me. My mailing address is:

Thank you, and I pray the best for all the fine people of Siquijor. Gene Kallberg

PS..the 3 boys that we adopted are doing just fine here in the US, and love it here. They are such good boys, and I always get comments even from strangers on what good boys they are. My family and I love the boys just like we had born them ourselves, and are happy and proud that they are now legally our sons. Thank God

Sir, I am very privilege upon finding our very own enticing web-site of the Siquijodnon .I was not expecting that we have it. That's why,I am very much proud for making it, because it definitely helps many peoples around the world to have a smoother access on information about our Island. It likewise helps increasing our local ,national and international tourists to know what really Siquijor is ,because through enter-net online they can find out news, events, forums ,archives, directory and most especially the totality of Siquijor Provence.

Sir, i know that this web-site serves as a springboard for the promotion of our tourists that can help our island to earn more incomes.

Salamat...

Your constituent,

Olympio P. Balangitao

Its very informative! congratulations..

I suggest the following items to be supplied with details from those who know to make this web more attractive:

1.Lets talk about "the rape of Siquijor's Natural resources" which is unknown to almost all young siquijorian. Did you know that trees were truncated in the forests of siquijor before the world war II? ...and now what happened to the "lazi mine"?...another ecological destruction for us to forget?

2. Growing number of female Siquijodnon who are now married to foreigners. this is "not because of Love but because of Poverty"... is this not alarming?

3. Most of our beaches are now owned by foreigners or Siquijodnons who are in business tandems with the former. This is alarming because some local fishermen are finding it difficult to land in their own "painted" coasts (once upon a time "tagboanan sa labasira")

I am browsing today and found this website. I think you did a good job. So keep up the good work. I saw the pictures of the Siquijor Hospital with Auntie Emer, Auntie Glory and Ann. I don't think she knew me but her mom was my teacher before. Again it is great. Aloha,
