The Lazi lady, Carmen Miraflor, has done it! Let's elect her governor of
Siquijor in absentia. In her complaint about the governor's invitation to the
island, she outlined many programs that would be beneficial to the people. I
have to ask why in the world haven't her proposals been done? But, then, we all
know the answer, di ba?

What
is going to happen in Siquijor if Gov. Fua has his way is not hard to
comprehend. He is not brain dead as some people think. He has an agenda that he
does not announce to the people who elected him. He does not respect the voice
of the people because he was elected by the power of money that bought the will
of the people. He will always be laughing on his way to the bank.
There
was an uproar about the Metaphil ----- now it has quieted down by the passage of
time. Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it.

When there is a 'controversial issue', some will criticize it and say why.
Others will dismiss it. Many will criticize it just for
criticisms sake. A few will not just criticize it but
offer alternatives. Carmen Miraflor's recent entry into
this fray is right on. She pointed out her objections but
at the same time, she offered a series of sound recommendations
as alternatives to helping uplift the province of Siquijor. May
her recommendations be heard and considered.

job for the website!! It's good that you post an updated news from our island..
Comments
on the Gov. Fua's offer I think that he doesn't know what he's talking about. No
offense but I think it's a sign of old age. Siquijor can't handle that kind of
high profile trial. For security alone, no offense to the cops, but I don’t
think that our police force in the island can handle this "drama".
Sometimes they can not even handle our own internal "drama" in the
island. If he did talk to some people, probably a friend of his then obviously
they won't say NO.
But
why not ask the majority of the people in Siquijor since they are the one who
will suffer through this and will see what's the result. Then he should base his
decision from that. This is just a pure publicity since everything was
"stained". I just hope that the Gov. will change his mind while it's
not too late for our people in the island to defend themselves from those
barbarians........ NO OFFENSE.... Once again great job for the site and thank
you very much.

My
fellow Siquijorians should now realize what's the frame of mind of Governor Fua.
As human beings, we have that gift to think and think and think first
before we decide on things. It just so happen that our Governor is thinking about
personal and media milage first and it seems now that his paradigm is just
revolving on this things (personal gain) rather than the overall benefit of the
people of our province. If his mind
will not be able to comprehend what is good or bad for the people of Siquijor
and that he is only after his own good and fame, then the move of the
Siquijorians to let Gov. Fua reverse his decision is NOT ENOUGH.
He should be man enough to leave his post and give it to somebody who
thinks about the overall good of the people of Siquijor.
Recently,
I heard the interview of the Mayors and the whole councils of Taguig and Cebu
protesting the move in hosting the trial. Here
comes GOV. ORLANDO FUA SR. volunteering...
His mind must be out of this world because it runs counter to the minds
thousands. I hope you can still
sleep with your decision.
